Curriculum vitae Italiano
Silvia Antosa ha conseguito la Laurea in Lingue e Letterature Straniere presso l’Università “G. D’Annunzio” di Chieti-Pescara (2000) e il Dottorato di Ricerca in Anglistica presso il medesimo Ateneo (2005). La sua tesi di dottorato le è valso il premio “Maria Baiocchi” per miglior tesi di dottorato in studi di genere e sull’orientamento sessuale (2005). E’ stata Assegnista di Ricerca (2005-2008) e poi Ricercatrice di Letteratura e Cultura Inglese (2008-2016) presso l’Università di Palermo. Dal 2016 al 2022 ha rivestito il ruolo di Professoressa Associata presso l’Università di Enna “Kore”. Nel 2019 ha conseguito l’Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale alle funzioni di Professore Universitario di Prima Fascia (10/L1 – Lingue, Letterature e Culture Inglese e Anglo-Americana). E’ stata Direttrice del Centro Linguistico Interfacoltà Kore (CLIK) (2019-2022), e Vice-Presidente del CdS in Lingue e Culture Moderne (2017-2022). Inoltre, è stata referente di Ateneo per il Piano di Orientamento e Tutorato (POT) finanziato dal Miur per le classi di laurea L11 e L12 (2019-2022). E’ vincitrice di un finanziamento (Research Grant) della British Academy / Leverhulme Trust in qualità di Co-Investigator per un progetto dal titolo: “Cultural Discourses on Desire between Women: A Queer Comparative Analysis”; è inoltre parte di un network di ricerca sulle “Decadent Pedagogies” finanziato dalla European Society for the Study of English (ESSE). Antosa è co-Direttrice della Collana “AngloSophia. Studi di Letteratura e Cultura Inglese” (Milano-Udine, Mimesis). E’ membro del Consiglio Direttivo dell’AIA (Associazione Italiana di Anglistica) dal 2017 ad oggi, e co-editor della rivista di fascia A “Textus. English Studies in Italy”. E’ membro del comitato scientifico di diverse collane e riviste italiane ed internazionali. Ha organizzato e partecipato a numerosi convegni, cicli di seminari e Summer School in Italia e all’estero. Fa parte di diversi gruppi di ricerca e centri studio.

Silvia Antosa graduated in Foreign Languages and Literatures at the “G. D’Annunzio” University of Chieti-Pescara (2000) and took her PhD in English Studies at the same University (2005). Her PhD dissertation was awarded the Maria Baiocchi Prize for best PhD thesis in Gender and Sexuality Studies (2005). She was a Research Fellow (2005-2008) and then Lecturer in English Literature and Culture (2008-2016) at the University of Palermo. From 2016 to 2022 she was Associate Professor at the “Kore” University of Enna. In 2019 she obtained the National Scientific Qualification for Full Professor in English and Anglo-American Languages, Literatures and Cultures (10/L1). She was Director of the Kore Interfaculty Language Centre (CLIK) (2019-2022) and Vice-President of the Degree Course in Modern Languages and Cultures (2017-2022). Moreover, she was representative for her University for the project for Orientation and Tutoring (POT) funded by the Ministry of Education for the degree courses in Modern Languages and Cultures (L11) and Intercultural Mediation (L12) (2019-2022). She has won a Research Grant from the British Academy / Leverhulme Trust as Co-Investigator for a project entitled: “Cultural Discourses on Desire between Women: A Queer Comparative Analysis”; she is also part of a research network on “Decadent Pedagogies” funded by the European Society for the Study of English (ESSE). Antosa is co-editor of the Book Series “AngloSophia. Studies in English Literature and Culture” (Milan-Udine, Mimesis). She has been a member of the Board of the Italian Association of English (AIA) since 2017, and she is the co-editor of the A-rated journal “Textus. English Studies in Italy”. She is a member of the editorial board of several Italian and international series and journals. She has organised and participated in numerous conferences, Seminars and Summer Schools in Italy and abroad. She is member of several research groups and study centres.

Studi di genere e le teorie queer; gli studi etnici e postcoloniali; teorie sulla performatività; identità transnazionali e il Sud Globale; discorsi inter- e transculturali sulla Brexit; teorie e pratiche sulla traduzione interculturale e transmediale; la scrittura di viaggio britannica tra Sette e Ottocento; la narrativa e la poesia vittoriana e tardo-vittoriana; il colonialismo inglese nell’Ottocento; il romanzo contemporaneo britannico. / Gender studies and queer theories; ethnic and postcolonial studies; performativity theories; transnational identities and the Global South; inter- and transcultural discourses on Brexit; intercultural and transmedia translation theories and practices; British travel writing between the 18th and the 19th century; Victorian and late-Victorian poetry and fiction; British colonialism in the nineteenth century; British contemporary fiction.
