Andrea Scibetta è Ricercatore di tipo B in "Lingua e letteratura cinese" (L-OR/21) presso l'Università per Stranieri di Siena. Ha conseguito nel 2012 una laurea magistrale in "Lingue e Civiltà dell'Oriente antico e moderno" (con specializzazione in lingua e letteratura cinese) presso l'Università di Firenze, e nel 2017 un Dottorato di Ricerca in "Linguistica e Didattica della Lingua Italiana a Stranieri" presso l'Università per Stranieri di Siena. Ha esperienza come docente di lingua cinese e come docente di italiano a studenti internazionali sinofoni. Ha soggiornato in Germania e in Cina per motivi di studio e di ricerca; ha ricoperto il ruolo di Visiting Researcher presso la Tianjin Foreign Studies University (Rep. Pop. Cinese) nel 2017 e svolto docenze nell'ambito del Master in TCSOL (Teaching Chinese to Students of Other Languages) presso lo University College Cork (Irlanda) nel 2020 attraverso il programma Erasmus docenti. Con la collega Valentina Carbonara coordina il progetto “L’AltRoparlante: pratiche didattiche di translanguaging per la gestione della superdiversità in classe”, insignito del Label Europeo delle Lingue 2018. Dal mese di giugno 2021 è stato nominato dal Centro di Lingue Moderne del Consiglio d'Europa esperto di lingua cinese nell'ambito del progetto "Resources for assessing the home language competences of migrant pupils" (RECOLANG). I suoi principali interessi scientifici riguardano i seguenti ambiti: didattica e diffusione della lingua cinese, italiano L2 per apprendenti sinofoni, pragmatica linguistica, didattica plurilingue.

Andrea Scibetta is a full time researcher in "Chinese language and literature" (L-OR/21 sector) at the University for Foreigners of Siena. He completed in 2012 a Master Degree in "Languages and Cultures of the ancient and modern East" (specializing in Chinese Language and Literature) at the University of Florence, and, in 2017, a PhD in "Linguistics and Italian as a Second Language Teaching" at the University for Foreigners of Siena. He has experience as a Chinese language lecturer and as a teacher of L2 Italian to Chinese international students. He has studied and carried out research in Germany and in China: he has been a Visiting Researcher at the Tianjin Foreign Studies University (People's Rep. of China) in 2017 and conducted seminars within the MATCSOL (Master in Teaching Chinese to Students of Other Languages) at the University College Cork (Ireland) in 2020 through the Erasmus + program for Professors. With his colleague Valentina Carbonara he coordinates the project “L’AltRoparlante: translanguaging educational practices for the management of the superdiversity in class”, which was awarded the European Language Label 2018. Since June 2021 he has been nominated by the European Center of Modern Languages (ECML) of the European Council as a Chinese language expert within the RECOLANG ("Resources for assessing the home language competences of migrant pupils") project.His main scientific interests concern the following areas: Chinese language teaching and diffusion, L2 Italian teaching to Chinese International students, pragmatics and multilingual education.
