    Curriculum vitae Italiano
    Laureato in storia dell'arte presso l'Università degli studi di Firenze. Con la sua tesi vince il premio Mario Salmi dell'Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei. Borsista della Fondazione Roberto Longhi di Firenze e della Fondazione Cini di Venezia. Funzionario della Soprintendenza per i Beni Artistici e Storici di Firenze. Dal 1983 ricercatore presso l'Università degli studi di Urbino. Dal 1993 professore associato presso l'Università per Stranieri di Siena, dove dal 2002 è in ruolo come professore ordinario. Ha pubblicato volumi, saggi e contributi vari sulla pittura e la scultura del XVI e del XVII secolo in Toscana, e sui rapporti artistici tra Italia e Francia nel XIX e XX secolo. Ha partecipato come curatore o membro di comitato scientifico a numerose mostre, e ha presentato contributi a vari convegni internazionali in Italia e all'estero. Nel 2011 ha vinto il Premio Salimbeni per la Storia e la critica d'arte con il volume “Federico Barocci 1535-1612. L’incanto del colore. Una lezione per due secoli”.

    University degree in medieval and modern art history within the Department of Letters and Philosophy of the University of Florence. Wins with his University degree dissertation the “Mario Salmi” prize awarded by Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei. Fellowships from the Roberto Longhi Foundation of Studies in Art History of Florence and the Cini Foundation in Venice. Documentary researcher for the Ministry of Fine Arts, Superintendence for the Artistic and Historical Patrimony of Florence. Researcher in Medieval and Modern Art History in the Department of Letters of the Università of Urbino. Associate professor of the History of Medieval and Modern Art at the Università per Stranieri of Siena, where he is in the role of full professor since 2002 until now. He published number of volumes, essays and contributions on painting and sculpture in XVI and XVII centuries Tuscany, and on artistic relationships between Italy and France in XIX and XX centuries. He collaborated as director or member of scientific committee in many exhibitions, and participated with lectures in numerous symposia in Italy and abroad. Wins the 2011 edition of the Salimbeni Prize for History and Critics of Art with the exhibition catalogue “Federico Barocci 1535-1612. L’incanto del colore. Una lezione per due secoli”.
